GUN | WOMAN WEARING MASK WAVES HANDGUN AT TRAFFIC AT PORTAGE AND MAIN

As bizarre as it sounds a woman walked into the intersection at Porage Avenue and Main Street put on a mask and pulled out a gun. She began waving the gun at passersby before she put it up to her head.

Police arrived on scene quickly but remained back as they assessed the situation. 

The woman slumped to the ground, police rushed in and tacked her as she began to get up. She was handcuffed and quickly lead away to a waiting police vehicle. 

The entire incident took under four minutes to unfold. 

The weapon turned out to be a replica hand gun.

The incident happened around 10am Tuesday morning. There were no injuries.

A 17 year old woman has been arrested and charged with

  • Possess Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
  • Cause Disturbance
  • Public Mischief
