A 16-year-old male is in custody after he allegedly committed an armed robbery of a man in his 20s stealing cigarettes and money.

The incident occurred in front of Union Station on Main Street around 9:00 p.m. on Septemebr 20, 2023.

According to police the victim was sitting outside the train station when he was confronted by two suspects who demanded a cigarette. The the victim declined he was robbed at gunpoint before the suspects fled on foot.

Officers located th suspect in a recreational area of the Forks Market.

The suspect has been charged for his alleged involvement with Armed Robbery using a Firearm, Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order. He was detained in custody.

A 14-year-old female was charged for her alleged involvement with Armed Robbery using a Firearm and released on an Appearance notice.
