Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit executed a search warrant at a Portage Avenue building on Sunday, January 17, 2021.
Police say they were investigating a known drug trafficker over firearms.
The search netted police a number of prohibited items including a handgun, a small quantity of Meth, $235 in cash, drug packaging materials, body armour and cellular devices.
Kain Cody Wagner, 30 and a 25-year-old female were arrested and charged with a number of firearm and drug related offences for their alleged involvement.
Wagner was also processed on two outstanding Probation Warrants and detained in custody.
The accused female was released on an Appearance Notice.
