Winnipeg Police have busted an illegal grow operation on Burrows Avenue after executing two search warrants in the 700 block around noon on Wednesday.
A fully operational cannabis marihuana grow operation was located. As a result of the search, the following was seized by officers:
165 marihuana plants – estimated street value $184,800.00
Over $5000.00 worth of grow operation equipment
Cash – excess of $1000.00
Shotgun and ammunition unsafely stored
A 62 year old female and 26 year old male were inside the residences and arrested.
They are facing numerous drug and weapon related offences.
Both were released on a promise to appear.
