The Province is inviting all Manitobans to welcome Governor General of Canada Julie Payette on her first official visit.
A special ceremony will be held inside the Manitoba Legislative Building at 10:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2018.

The Governor General will be officially welcomed by Premier Brian Pallister, Lt. Governor Janice Filmon along with other dignitaries. She will receive a traditional 21-gun salute followed by an inspection of a guard of honour from 17 Wing at the base of the Grand Staircase inside the Legislative Building. Members of the Royal Canadian Air Force Band will also be performing the Royal Salute.
While in Manitoba the Governor General will visit the francophone community, tour through the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, visit the University of Manitoba and walk with Bear Clan Patrol volunteers and visit Canadian Forces Base 17 Wing Winnipeg.
