With the resignation of Brian Pallister as premier the PC caucus has chosen Kelvin Goertzen to become the next premier of Manitoba.
Goertzen is currently the deputy premier and Minister of Legislative and Public Affairs. He was first elected to the legislative assembly in 2003 representing Steinbach.
Goertzen will be sworn in on September 1, 2021 and will become Manitoba’s 23rd premier.
