It stands bold and proud, facing the town it was built to protect.  “the Viking statue” rises an impressive 15 feet into the air, and is a main attraction to all who visit.
In the stunning interlake region, is a town that has grown to be a popular summer destination for Winnipeggers.  Located about 75 kilometres north of the city, on the west shore of Lake Winnipeg, is Gimli, Manitoba.
