Veteran City Councillor Jenny Gerbasi announced on Wednesday, March 14, 2018, that she will not be seeking re-election in the 2018 civic election.
Gerbasi was first elected in 1998 and has served five terms as a councillor. She is also the Deputy Mayor.
In a statement posted on social media Gerbasi said she made the decision not to run again after “much personal reflection and consultation with family and friends.”
Gerbasi represents Fort Rouge-East Fort Garry and has said she will retire after her term is complete.
