Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a single-family bungalow at 2:23 pm on Wednesday. October 20, 202, in the 900 block of Garfield Street North.
Firefighters encountered thick brown smoke coming from the home when they arrived on the scene. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was brought under control at 2:41 pm.
The house was empty at the time of the fire, No injuries were reported.
Officials say the building suffered significant damage due to smoke and flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
