Investigators want to talk to two men about the murder of Gabriel Coates

Winnipeg Police homicide detectives are looking for two men who were in the area of Higgins Avenue and Maple Street around the time when 44-year-old Gabriel Coates was murdered. Coates is the 24th homicide victim of 2019.

Police say they believe the men may have relevant information about the killing that can help them with the investigation.

During a media briefing on Friday, July 5, 2019 the victim’s sister, Sara Coates, pleaded for anyone who may know what happened to her brother to come forward.

“I’m appealing to you to help me find out what happened to my little brother,” said Coates.

Investigators are asking anyone who can identify the men or were in the area late June 18th or early June 19, 2019 to contact them to contact them at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477)
