RCMP officers patrolling the Perimeter Highway around Winnipeg have a simple message for drivers “Don’t Speed”
On Saturday and again very early this morning officers patrolling the Perimeter Highway spotted two drivers travelling well in excess of the posted speed limit.
Police say that around 8:40 pm on Saturday March 21, 2020 they nabbed a 25-year-old driver going 186 km/h in an 80 km/h zone. The driver faces a fine of $1438 and also will have their license reviewed by Manitoba Public Insurance.
Around 1:45 am on Tuesday March 24, 2020 a 20-year-old was caught going 170 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on the West Perimeter Highway.
Police say that fines for their offence total $966.00. They will also have the pleasure of undergoing a license review with MPI after also receiving a serious offence notice.
