Winnipeg Police have arrested a 28-year-old male suspect in connection to a sexual assault in a Furby Street apartment on August 4, 2020.
A woman was alone in her apartment around 6:30 am when a male entered through an unlocked fire escape door and sexually assaulted her.
The victim was able to fight off her attacker and call for help.
Investigators were able to identify the suspect and on October 7, 2020 he was taken into custody.
Devon Andre McGillivary has been charged for his alleged involvement with Sexual Assault, Break Enter and Commit and Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke.
McGillivary has been detained in custody.
