Stormy skies in Southern Manitoba brought rain to the region but also a funnel cloud.
Mid afternoon Tuesday Garrett Darby spotted a funnel cloud just outside of Miami Manitoba. According to Darby the cloud touched the ground for about 30 seconds. No Damage was reported
Environment Canada confirmed a funnel could in the area but had no evidence of it touching down.
Funnel clouds are rotating columns of air not in contact with the ground. However, the violently rotating column of air may reach the ground very quickly, becoming a tornado.
