Forks offers free skateboard lessons this summer

Always wanted to try an ollie or a kick-flip but have no idea how to start?

Now’s your chance with free skateboard lessons at the Forks skatepark.

From now until the end of August you can join free lessons for beginner boarders every Wednesday to Sunday from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm.

Skateboards will be provided but you will be required to bring your own helmet.

“We’re lucky to have this world-class skatepark right in the heart of the city where kids from all neighbourhoods can have free access to this kind of recreation and community, and we’re extremely glad to partner with Sk8 Skates to offer this kind of mentorship to beginners during the summer months,” says Paul Jordan, CEO, The Forks.

Lessons are on a first-come, first-served basis so you will need to register between 11-11:30 each day at the skatepark kiosk.
