Free Provincial Park access and fishing this weekend

From Friday, June 12 until Sunday, June 14, 2020, Manitobans will be able to access provincial parks for free.

“Our provincial parks offer a great opportunity for Manitobans to experience nature, get some exercise and spend quality time with their family and friends, while safely following the social distancing protocols,” said Conservation and Climate Minister Sarah Guillemard.

On Saturday and Sunday, those wanting to try their angling skills won’t need a fishing licence to do so.

“Whether it is your first time casting or you are an experienced angler, there is something for everyone in Manitoba’s lakes and rivers,” said Agriculture and Resource Development Minister Blaine Pedersen. “This weekend is an ideal time for families to try something new or revisit a favourite place together.”
