June 12 and 13, 2021, is the annual free family fishing and provincial park access weekend in Manitoba.
Manitoba has offered the free weekends for the past 29 years. During the weekend recreational anglers won’t need a fishing licence except in national parks. Access to all provincial parks is also free although camping fees still apply.
“This has been a tough year, and while there may still be some public health restrictions, it’s a great opportunity to spend time together with members of your household and carefully explore Manitoba’s abundant fisheries and parks,” said Agriculture and Resource Development Minister Blaine Pedersen.
