Two women were busted by police on Friday morning, December 29, 2017, after they were allegedly involved in multiple frauds since April 2017.
Police say that the suspects had broken into several mailboxes, cashed cheques fraudulently, used credit and debit cards that didn’t belong to them and used forged identification.

As officers attempted to arrest them at the Best Western Hotel in the 300 block of York Avenue one of the suspects became combative and kicked an officer several times.
Cheyenne Leigh Bruce, 31 from Winnipeg, has been charged for her alleged involvement with:
– Assault a Peace Officer
– Resist Peace Officer
– Identity Theft (x2)
– Forgery (x2)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (x3)
– Fraud under $5,000 (x3)
– Use a Forged Document (x2)
– Break Enter & Commit – Place
Helena Peters, 24 from Winnipeg, has been charged for her alleged involvement with:
– Break Enter & Commit – Place (x5)
– Fraud under $5,000 (x13)
– Forgery (x4)
– Identity Fraud – Intent to Gain Advantage
– Identity Fraud – Intent to Obtain Property (x3)
– Possession of an Identity Document
– Identity Theft (x2)
– Theft under $5,000
– Possession of a Credit Card
– Used a Forged Document
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 (x5)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
They were both detained in custody.
