Fraserwood Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Near Selkirk

A 44-year-old man from Fraserwood, Manitoba, has died following a single-vehicle collision early Wednesday morning.

Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of the crash at approximately 1:00 a.m. on March 19, 2025, at the intersection of Highway 8 and Road 85 North in the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle in the west ditch of Highway 8, with a single male occupant. Clandeboye Fire Department and EMS also attended the scene.

The 44-year-old driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. RCMP have confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.

Selkirk RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
