A Fraserwood man couldn’t believe he won Manitoba’s third-largest lottery win when he checked his 6/49 ticket in the May 12, 2021 draw.
“I just thought ‘it can’t be’ – the winning numbers look a lot like my numbers,” Keith Spulnick laughed.
Spulnick checked his ticket the morning after the draw on the Western Canada Lottery Corporation website and again using the Lotto Spot mobile app.

He said he took a few minutes and did a few chores around his property as the excitement of his win settled in before telling his wife. Spulnick sat his wife down and told her “we won the lottery.”
“I don’t need anything else. I’m not a ‘high lifestyle’ guy, I want to remain me – this is all we need,” he noted. “It’s the best thing that ever happened in my life. I never thought I would get this.”
