RCMP announced on Monday August 12, 2019 that a second suspect was charged in connection to the killing of a 20-year-old woman on November 17, 2018 near Fraserwood, Manitoba.
At the time police said that an altercation broke out at a bar in Fraserwood earlier in the evening that escalated to the point that the bar was closed and customers were told to leave. The initial suspect, who had also been at the bar, left and drove about two miles south on Road 11 East (Kuz Road) and parked his vehicle. As three other vehicles belonging to others who were in the bar passed by the suspect fired at them with a rifle. One woman was shot and killed during the incident.
Jesse Paluk was captured in a field near Gimli and was charged for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder, Seven counts of Attempted Murder, Discharge Firearm at a Motor Vehicle with intent to wound x3, three counts of Reckless Discharge of Firearm and Assault with a Weapon.
As the investigation continued police laid charges against a second suspect who was subsequently arrested on August 8, 2019.
William Ryerson Comber from the RM of East St. Paul is facing Second Degree Murder charges for his alleged involvement.
