FOUR PEOPLE SHOT IN THREE DIFFERENT INCIDENTS OVER WEEKEND

Winnipeg Police are investigating three separate incidents over the weekend that sent three men to hospital and one man treated on scene after being shot.

Early Saturday morning, July 8, 2017, police received a report of a male being shot in the first block of Isabel Street. When officers arrived they found an adult man suffering from an upper body gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

The second shooting occurred around 3:00 am Sunday, July 9, 2017. Police received a report of shots fired and went to the area located in the 500 block of Elgin Avenue. Police found two men shot in the upper body. One of the men was taken to hospital in stable condition where he was treated and released. The other man was treated on scene by paramedics and did not require hospitalization.

The third incident occurred Sunday evening around 8:30 pm. A man was located in the 400 block of Boyd Avenue. He had been shot in the lower body and was taken to hospital in critical condition. he has been upgraded to stable condition. Police say that the victim doesn’t have life-threatening wounds but the wound is extensive.

Investigators are looking into all three incidents. Anyone with information or who may have seen the shooting happen is asked to call police at
