Winnipeg Police raided two separate homes on Thursday finding drugs and weapons in both.
Police say that an investigation into drug trafficking led them to a home in the Daniel McIntyre area of the city on November 15, 2018.
A 20-year-old male and a 22-year-old female are facing a number of drug and weapons charges after police found about $1,600 worth of Cocaine, $2,400 in cash, a loaded, sawed off . 22 calibre rifle, ammunition, bear spray and a white powder believed to be a cutting agent.
Bryce Alexander Keating was detained in custody for his alleged involvement. The female accused was released on a promise to appear.
Keating also was charged with three counts of failing to comply with probation order.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit also raided a home on Strauss Drive in St. James netting 5 ounces of Cocaine worth $10. 000 on the streets, $2670 in cash, a loaded sawed-off 12 gauge tactical shotgun, a loaded .32 calibre handgun, ammunition for both weapons, scales, vacuum sealer, packaging material.
29-year-old Mitchell James Bradley Byle and a 32-year-old female are facing a number of charges for their alleged involvement including:
- Possess Proceeds of Crime
- Contravention of Storage Regulations x 2
- Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose x 2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm x 2
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized x2
