Four news cases of COVID-19 identified in Manitoba on Saturday

Manitoba Public Health has identified four new cases of COVID-19 in the province on Saturday, April 25, 2020, bringing the total number of lab-confirmed and probable cases to 267.

Seven people are currently hospitalized with the virus with two of those receiving treatment in intensive care.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Manitoba remains at six.

There are currently 62 active cases in the province with 199 people listed as recovered.

Cadham Provincial Laboratory performed 435 tests on Friday bringing the total number of tests performed since early February to 22,598.

Anyone who meets the expanded testing criteria and who is showing even mild symptoms including a cough, a runny nose, a sore throat and a fever should be tested to better determine the spread of the virus in Manitoba.
