Four males facing charges after crime spree Tuesday morning

Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged four males in connection to a series of incidents Tuesday morning, June 30, 2020.

Shortly after midnight an altercation at a Main Street hotel saw a 21-year-old man stabbed multiple times and a 27-year-old female receive defensive cuts to her hands.

The male victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but was later upgraded to stable. the female was treated and released.

Less than an hour later a convenience store on Dufferin Avenue was robbed by four males. One of the suspects had a hammer and a knife say police.

A second convenience store was robbed around 3:30 am on McPhillips Street. In that incident the suspects were refused entry by the employees so one of the males smashed through the front window with a hammer and then stole several items from behind the counter.

Officers were able to track the suspects with the help of a police service dog and arrested.

Investigators were able to link the suspects to all three incidents.

A 29-year-old male has been charged for his alleged involvement with two counts Robbery, seven counts of Fail to Comply with Order, Assault with Weapon, Possession of a Weapon, Assault and Utter Threats.

He was detained in custody

A 17-year-old male was charged for his alleged involvement with two counts of Robbery and Possession of a Scheduled Substance Methamphetamine.

A 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male are both facing robbery charges for their alleged involvement.

All three teens were released on undertakings.
