Manitoba Public Health announced that as of 9:30 am today there are 167 new cases of COVID-19 in the province and an additional four deaths including:
- a female in her 60s from the Southern Health–Santé Sud health region;
- a female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region;
- a female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the Charleswood Care Centre;
- a female in her 90s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the Park Manor Care.
The current provincial five-day test positivity rate is 11.5 per cent. The test positivity rate in Winnipeg is 10.5 per cent. The total number of lab-confirmed cases in Manitoba is 23,025.
The data shows that of today’s cases, nine are from the Interlake-Eastern health region, 25 from Northern health region, seven from the Prairie Mountain Health region, 43 from Southern Health region and 83 from the Winnipeg health region.
There are currently 310 people being treated in hospital for the virus including 42 who are being treated in intensive care.
As of today 572 Manitobans have died from COVID-19.
There are currently 5,736 active cases. 16,717 people are listed as recovered.
There were 1,949 tests processed yesterday bringing the total number of tests since February to 405,724.
A new outbreak has been declared at Concordia Place personal care home in Winnipeg.
