Winnipeg police officers have taken four adults into custody after they were involved in a gunshot incident in the West End of the city.

Just after 3:30 pm Monday, January 23, 2017 police were called to the scene in the 300 block of Toronto Street near Ellice.

The area was taped off and traffic diverted for several hours as investigators worked the scene.

Police have not released any information regarding the incident.
