Four additional cases of COVID-19 reported Saturday

Manitoba Public Health reported on Saturday, July 25, 2020, that there are four additional cases of COVID-19 in the province as of 9:30 am. That brings the total number of cases in Manitoba to 388.

During the weekends officials do not release information about the number of active or recovered cases, hospitalizations or how many tests have been performed.

These numbers are typically updated on Monday.

Over the past 12 days there have been 62 cases of the the virus in the province identified. Several of those cases have been attributed to outbreaks at Hutterite colonies.

Late Friday afternoon public health put out an advisory about potential exposure to the virus at Dakota Tipi Gaming Centre between July 17 and 19, 2020.

According to officials a person visited the gaming centre during the day and evenings on those dates while symptomatic. The person is not a resident of the Dakota Tipi First Nation and is not known to have visited any other locations within the community while symptomatic.

Although people who were at the centre during those days do not need to self-isolate they should self-monitor.

If symptoms develop they should immediately self-isolate and contact Health Links at (204)-788-8200 or use the online screen tool  www.manitoba.ca/covid19/
