Hello Fresh Canada recalls some meal kits after salmonella fear

Hello Fresh Canada Inc. has issued a recall of some products containing red chili due to concerns over possible salmonella.

Branded as Chefs Plate and Hello Fresh the meal kits were sold in Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

Although there have been no reports of illness the company says that you should not eat the products on the recall list. You should either throw them out or return them to the store where they were purchased.

Symptoms of Salmonella contamination may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea and in the long-term, severe arthritis, says Health Canada.
