On May 9, 2021, police received a report of a robbery in the Kern Park area of Winnipeg.

Police say that around 7:00 pm the 70-year-old victim watched a man steal flowerpots from his front yard and place them into a vehicle. When the victim tried to intervene the male suspect closed the trunk of the car on his head and pointed a knife at him.

The male an a female who was inside the vehicle fled in the vehicle with the stolen items.

On Tuesday, May 11, officers located the suspects and placed them under arrest.

A 40-year-old male is facing robbery-related charges for his alleged involvement. He was released on an Appearance Notice.\The 36-year-old female was released without charges.
