Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the report of a fire around 6:54 on Thursday, June 2, 2020, in a two-storey home in the 300 block of Flora Avenue.
The building was well involved when crews arrived on scene with heavy flames and smoke.
Officials say the fire spread to a neighbouring home. An offensive attack was launched and both fires were under control just before 7:30 pm.
A search of the home found no one inside. No injuries were reported.

Due to the extrememely hot weather conditions and the high risk of heat exhaustion crews were rotated while battling the blaze to ensure their safety.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
