Manitoba Infrastructure’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued a flood watch for southeast Manitoba.
According to a special weather statement from Environment Canada a disturbance in the Dakotas will move into the area today with significant rainfall in some areas as unsettled conditions give rise to heavy downpours and thunderstorms. Local rainfall amounts could reach 50 to 75 mm before tapering off late this afternoon or this evening.

The Hydrologic Forecast Centre that the weather event could bring up to 100 mm to the area during the storms.
Property owners are advised to take precautions as the system could bring overland flooding in some areas.
