Manitoba has downgraded its forecast on Spring flooding this year.
According to Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Doyle Piwniuk updated forecasts based on weather predictions and current flows indicate the flood levels are tracking towards 2017 levels.
”Preparation activities are still underway should the province need it and our government is working to ensure Manitobans remain protected in the event of a flood,” said Piwniuk.
The minister noted that the province still expects to operate the Red River Floodway along with the Portage Diversion this flood season.
