RCMP in Flin Flon have arrested and charged a 16-year-old male after he allegedly stabbed another 16-year-old male in the community.
Flin Flon is 768 kilometres north west of Winnipeg.
On Monday, April 1, 2019 officers responded to a home on Callinan Street just after 9:00 pm for the report of a stabbing.
When police arrived they found a male suffering from life-threatening stab wounds. Officers immediately administered emergency first aid and applied pressure to the wound until paramedics arrived. The victim remains in hospital in stable but critical condition.
Shortly after the assault police located the suspect. He has been charged for his alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and numerous bail violations.
He was detained in custody.
