Murder charges laid after two women stabbed in Flin Flon

RCMP in Flin Flon have arrested and charged a 23-year-old woman after they responded to a disturbance call in the small northern Manitoba town.

Police say they went to a home on Bellevue Avenue just after 6:00 am on Saturday, May 19, 2018.

Officers found two females had been stabbed. A 23-year-old and a 22-year-old were taken to hospital in critical condition. The 23-year-old died from her injuries and the other is now in stable condition.

 

Faith Margaret Rose Linklater, from Flin Flon, is facing one count of second degree murder and one count of attempted murder for her alleged involvement.  She is expected to appear in Provincial Court in The Pas on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

RCMP continue to investigate.
