Five new cases of COVID-19 on Friday

On Friday, July 17, 2020, Manitoba Public Health announced that there are five new cases of COVID-19 in the province as of 9:30 am. The total number of lab-confirmed and probable cases is 336.

Today’s cases are a male and female in their 60s, a male and female in their 30s and a female in her 20s.  All the cases are on a Hutterite colony in the Interlake-Eastern health region.  The investigation is ongoing and any additional information will be provided as needed once investigations are complete to inform people of any public health risks.

There are currently 11 active cases of the virus in the province and 318 people have been listed as recovered.

Currently no one is hospitalized with the virus.

Over the course of the pandemic seven deaths have been attributed to it in Manitoba.

On Thursday 844 lab tests were performed bringing the total number of test performed in the province since early February to 73,885.
