Five from Cross Lake facing drug trafficking charges

RCMP in Cross Lake raided a home in the community on Wednesday evening, December 2, 2020, seizing two kilograms of cocaine, 280 grams of cannabis, a shotgun, weapons and drug paraphernalia.

Five adults from Cross Lake were arrested during the raid and face charges for their alleged involvement with ossession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Unsafe Storage of Firearms, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, and Possessing Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling- under the Cannabis Act.

27-year-old Ray Ross was remanded into custody. The other four, three males aged 19, 24 and 25 and a female aged 24 were released pending a court appearance.

Police continue to investigate.
