Three youths from Fisher River Cree Nation busted for home invasion

RCMP have arrested three youths in connection to a home invasion on Saturday, December 7, 2019.

According to police, the youths forced their way into a home in Fisher River Cree Nation and threatened the 75-year-old homeowner with a weapon. They then proceeded to steal cannabis, a machete and a pellet gun before fleeing.

The homeowner was not injured during the ordeal.

The incident happened around 5:30 am and officers were able to track down the suspects within a matter of hours.

A 17-year-old male is facing charges of Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose and Uttering threats for his alleged involvement.

Another 17-year-old was charged for his alleged involvement with Robbery and Disguised with Intent to Commit an Offence.

The third accused is a 15-year-old who will be facing charges of Robbery.

RCMP continue to investigate.
