Manitoba First Nations Police Service (MFNPS) raided a home on Sandy Bay First Nation early Wednesday morning, December 16, 2020.
General patrol officers and members of the MFNPS Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant at a home on Ridge Road South in the community. Three people inside the residence were immediately taken into custody say police.
Officers seized a number of items during the search including more than $2,500.00 in Canadian currency, 24grams of suspected Methamphetamine, 3 pellet (BB) guns, a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, several different types of ammunition, 3 scales, hundreds of unused baggies, an altered cattle prod (conducted energy weapon), 2 cans of bear mace, and several other items related to drug trafficking.
A 24-year-old males 27-year-old male and a 23-year-old female were charged for their alleged involvement with a number of firearm, drug and property-related offences.
