Manitoba First Nations Police raid home, seize weapons

Manitoba First Nations Police in Sandy Bay First Nation raided a home in the community early Monday June 10, 2019

During the search officers located and seized 23 firearms. Three of the weapons were loaded and police believe a number of them had been stolen.

Two adult males from Sandy Bay were arrested and face charges for Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm and Possession of a Weapon Obtained by Crime.

Both suspects were released on a promise to appear and will appear in Provincial Court in Portage la Praire in the near future.
