Winnipeg Police are investigating after Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) has determined an early morning fire on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, was arson.
WFPS says that just after 4:30 am fireworks were launched into a home on Austin Street North.
Residents of the two-storey multi-family structure were able to get out before emergency crews arrived.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke coming from the building. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was under control by 5:20 am.
