Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service once again battled a wildland fire near Centreport Way and Sturgeon Access Road on Friday, July 9, 2021.
Today was the sixth time in the past five days that crews were called to put out a fire in a treed area that sits in the middle of a field.

Firefighters used specialized vehicles called Bisons designed to fight wildland fires.
As of 6:00 pm smoke continues to billow into the sky.
Fire investigators from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and the Office of the Fire Commissioner were on site earlier in the week looking into the cause of the fires.
