A late afternoon fire shot smoke and flames into the sky in the 500 block of Bowman Avenue on Monday, January 21, 2020.
When firefighters arrived on scene around 4:45 pm they launched an offensive attack inside the one-and-a-half storey home.
Everyone inside the residence was able to get out before firefighters arrived. One person was assessed on scene then transported to hospital in stable condition.
Fire crews rescued cats and dogs form the building reuniting them with their owners.
The building suffered significant damage due to the fire, smoke and the water used to extinguish the flames.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
