Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) crews successfully extinguished a fire at a two-storey residence in the 2000 block of Gallagher Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:50 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of heavy smoke emanating from the house. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered significant smoke conditions and immediately began their attack on the blaze.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 4:41 p.m. T
All occupants of the house had safely evacuated before the arrival of WFPS personnel. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
The extent of the damage to the property is currently being assessed. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
