Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were called to the Winnipeg Transit Garage on Osborne Street shortly after 10:30 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024, after receiving a report that a monitored fire alarm had been activated.

When crews arrived they found a fire involving a bus in one of the parking bays. The fire was quickly extinguished and firefighters ventilated the garage to remove smoke.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
