Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to the report of a vehicle burning in the intersection of Empress Street and St. Matthews Avenue around 11:10 am on August 31, 2023.

When firefighters arrived on the scene they found a taxi with flames coming from the front end.
Crews quickly had the fire under control. There were no injuries reported.
It is not known what caused the fire.
