Winnipeg firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a vacant three-storey apartment building in the 500 block of Balmoral Street on Wednesday morning, February 22, 2023.
Crews were called to the structure shortly after 10:00 am and found smoke coming from the building as they arrived on the scene. An interior offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control at 10:16 am.
A search of the building found no one inside.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation
