Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a garage fire in the 500 block of Mountain Avenue around 5:30 am on Friday, April 14, 2023.

While fighting the blaze firefighters located a deceased adult inside the garage and called the police.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit are investigating.

An autopsy has been ordered as part of the investigation.
