Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a fire in a single-family bungalow around 3:53 pm on Monday, January 9, 2023, in the 500 block of Sherbrook Street.
Crews found smoke coming from the building as they arrived on the scene one person inside the home was brought to safety and assessed by paramedics. They did not have to go to the hospital. No other injuries were reported.
Firefighters launched an offensive attack inside the home and the blaze was declared under control at 4:16 pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
