Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service were called to a vacant two-and-a-half storey house in the 600 block of Alexander Avenue just before 8:00 am on Sunday, April 3, 2022.
When firefighters arrived on the scene they encountered heavy smoke coming from the building. A defensive attack was launched and the blaze was declared under control at 9:20 am.
No one was found inside the structure after a search and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
