Winnipeg firefighters returned to a vacant house on Alexander Avenue to battle a blaze for the second time with in 17 hours on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
According to fire officials crews were initially called to the side-by-side house at 4:08 am and fought a fire for an hour before it was declared under control.
At 10:14 pm emergency crews were called back to the house in the 400 block. When they arrived firefighters saw smoke coming from the building. Crews spent the next 23 minutes fighting the fire from inside the structure.
The cause of both fires are under investigation.
